As the auction for the 5G spectrum started online this morning, 4 companies including Reliance Jio and Adani participated.
Due to technological advancement, the use of the internet is increasing. While 4G service is currently being provided in India, the central government is taking steps to provide 5G service.
The central government has announced that 5G services will be available in 13 cities including Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai in August or September. In this case, the auction to select the companies providing 5G service started online today.
4 lakh 30 thousand crore rupees is being auctioned for 72 GHz spectrum in various segments. Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and Adani Group participated in the auction.
It is noted that Reliance Jio has paid the maximum amount of 14 thousand crore rupees as a deposit. It is also reported that the auction for 5G spectrum will be held till the end of this month.
In this case, it has been informed that on the first day, 4 rounds were held till 6 pm today and the 5th round will be held tomorrow, Wednesday.
