Common Wealth Game -2022
Common Wealth Game is quadrennial multi-sport event (happens once every four year). And it is a multi-sports event among the Commonwealth of Nations. The event was first held on 1930.Athletes with a disability are included in Common wealth game in 2002. In 2018, the Games became the first global multi-sport event to feature an equal number of men’s and women’s medal events and four years later they are the first global multi-sport event to have more events for women than men.
Now this year Common Wealth Game -2022 which is 22nd game happened at Birmingham (England) from 28 July to 8 August 2022. India has participated in all Common Wealth Games starting at second game in 1934. In 2010 India hosted this game.
