MPL announces layoffs of 10 percent employees

Mobile gaming platform MPL (Mobile Premier League) has reportedly laid off about 100 employees. This seems to be 10 percent of the number of employees in that company.

This is the company that was last launched in 2018. More than 60 mobile phone games can be downloaded and played for free through this site. The company has gained the trust of 9 crore users. The company has users in India, Indonesia, Europe and the United States. It also hosts millions of series each month.

In this case, the details of the dismissal of employees have been released. The announcement was made by MPL co-founders Sai Srinivas and Shub Malhotra in an email to their employees. It also describes the problem the company is currently facing.

“When we say market is like a flowing river, we can not resist it when it is pushed down in that stream,” both said.

Indian start-ups have reportedly laid off about 6,000 employees in the past five months. It also appears that these employees were fired without prior notice.
