KGF-2 is a kannada language period film with budget of 100 crore movie. It is a sequel to the KGF-1 released on 2018 which was a massive hit. The film performed well commercially and collected Rs. 250 crore which made record in kannada film of all time. The first part of the movie got two awards for Best Action and Best Special Effects along with many film fare awards and state awards. Before the release of the first part of KGF, the shooting of second part was kick started and 20% of the movie was shot.
KGF -2 Release Date
K.G.F-II was initially planned to release on 23 Oct, 2020 for Dussehra Festival.But got delayed by COVID -19 pandemic, now scheduled to release on 16 July 2021. Even before the release of the film, KGF II already created an exceptional buzz. Previously, the teaser was planned to release on lead star Yash’s Birthday but it was leaked in social media. So the team had to alter their plans and officially released the teaser the day before on 7th Jan,2021. Within the minutes of teaser release, it is already setting records in Youtube and Twitter.
On Youtube, the teaser of KGF 2 has crossed 12 crore views and also became #1 in Twitter Trends.
KGF – 2 Cast and Crew
The film is all about the Rule of the Kolar Gold Factory between criminal Rocky(Yash) and his rival Adheera(Sanjay Dutt).
KGF 2 stars: Rocking Star Yash in leading role pairing with Srinidhi Shetty. The film maker also added new stars in the second part: Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj in Pivotal roles. Sanjay Dutt played the role as main antogonist Adheera which is more powerul in the movie. The film also has Malvika Avinash, Achyuth Kumar, Ayyappa P. Sharma, Rao Ramesh, Eshwari Rao and many others.
KGF 2 is a multilingual movie which will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi. The film is written & directed by Prasanth Neel and Produced by Vijay Kiragandur. Music scored by Ravi Basrur.
