Rivaba Jadeja lashes out at reporter over father-in-law’s allegations

Rivaba Jadeja, the wife of Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja and a BJP MLA, lost her temper when a reporter asked her about the accusations made by her father-in-law, Anirudhsinh Jadeja, in a recent interview. The incident happened at a public event where Rivaba was present as a guest.

Rivaba asks reporter to contact her directly

The reporter questioned Rivaba about the interview given by Anirudhsinh to a Gujarati daily, in which he claimed that he had no relation with his son and daughter-in-law and blamed Rivaba for creating a rift in the family. Rivaba, who seemed visibly annoyed by the query, asked the reporter to contact her directly if he wanted to know about the matter and not to bring it up in public.

“Why are we here today? You can contact me directly if you want to know about it,” Rivaba said. The video of Rivaba’s angry response has gone viral on social media.

Anirudhsinh accuses Rivaba of tarnishing his son’s image

Anirudhsinh, in his interview with Divya Bhaskar, had alleged that Rivaba had asked him to transfer everything to her name within three months of their marriage and that she did not want to live with the family. He also said that he had not seen his granddaughter’s face in five years and that Rivaba’s parents interfered in everything.

“She (Rivaba) created a rift in our family. She didn’t want the family and desired an independent life. I could be wrong, and Naynaba (Ravindra’s sister) could be wrong, but you tell me, how can all 50 members of our family be wrong? There’s no relation with anyone in the family; there’s just hate,” Anirudhsinh had said.

He also expressed his regret over getting his son married and making him a cricketer. “I wish I hadn’t gotten him married. It would have been better if he hadn’t become a cricketer. We would not have to go through all this in that case,” he had added.

Ravindra Jadeja denies father’s claims, supports wife

Ravindra Jadeja, who is currently recovering from a thumb injury, took to X (formerly Twitter) to refute his father’s allegations and called them “meaningless” and “untrue”. He said that the interview was “scripted” and an attempt to “tarnish” his wife’s image.

“All the things stated in the absurd interview of Divya Bhaskar are meaningless and untrue. There is something to be said on one side. Which I deny. The efforts being made to tarnish the image of my wife are indeed condemnable and indecent,” Jadeja wrote.

He also shared a picture of him with his wife and daughter and captioned it as “my world”.

Ravindra Jadeja and Rivaba got married in 2016 and have a daughter named Nidhyana, who was born in 2018.
