Tori Spelling, the actress and daughter of famous producer Aaron Spelling, shared a photo of her eldest kids, Liam and Stella, on Instagram as they headed to their high school homecoming. The Beverly Hills, 90210 star couldn’t help but gush over how grown up they looked and how proud she was of their personalities.
Liam and Stella are ‘wise and aware and just really cool humans’
Spelling captioned the photo with a witty reference to Taylor Swift’s song “Look What You Made Me Do”, saying “I’m sorry, little Monkey and Buggy can’t come to the phone right now. Why? … Oh, ’cause they’re grown!” She explained that she wanted to take a photo with Liam, 16, and Stella, 15, before they left for the event, and noted that they were both taller than her.
She continued, “These 2 I can proudly say lead with kindness, empathy, and confidence. But, they are wise and aware and just really cool humans. Proud to be their mom.” She also expressed her trust in them and her confidence that they would soar in life. She added, “And, best of all, they deserve to!”
Liam and Stella have a penchant for ’90s style
The photo showed Liam and Stella posing with their mom in front of a brick wall. Liam wore a black-and-white patterned shirt, dark jeans, and platform boots, while Stella opted for a blue dress with off-the-shoulder sleeves and black Converse sneakers. They both had a flair for ’90s style, which Spelling is known for from her role as Donna Martin on the hit show Beverly Hills, 90210.
Spelling’s fans and friends were amazed by how much Liam and Stella had grown and how much they resembled their mom. One commented, “They were the cutest kids and now have grown up to be gorgeous ‘almost’ adults!” Another wrote, “It’s amazing how grown-up they are I can’t believe it! I remember watching your show, and when monkey was born!”
Spelling shares five kids with estranged husband Dean McDermott
Spelling and her estranged husband Dean McDermott have five children together: Liam, Stella, Hattie, 9, Finn, 8, and Beau, 4. The couple, who married in 2006, announced their separation in June 2023, after months of speculation about their marital troubles. McDermott wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post that they had decided to “go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own.”
He added, “We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time.” He also asked for privacy and thanked their fans for their support and kindness. Spelling has not publicly addressed the split, but has been focusing on her kids and her health. She recently spent several days in the hospital for an undisclosed reason, but is now back home and recovering.
